Warming rituals …
To my lovely Readers
Happy Autumn Equinox - The seasons have changed.
It is a time to perhaps take some time to slow down and embrace the pace of this season. A time to consider what we would like in our Autumn and Winter months. How can we let some warmth in?
For some of us, the thought of winter arriving fills us with a certain heaviness, as we recap the summer, the lighter skies, the lighter clothes and sunshine. So it is perhaps a time to collate some of the lovely memories that happened in the Summer of 2024.
By following Mother Nature, we are also quietly reassured that it is a time to let things go, just as trees teach us as they shed their leaves. A time to enjoy the simple things in life and go with the slow.
How can we replace our lighter days for darker ones? Perhaps with a warmth found in other ways that we can include in our lives to nurture the soul:-
*Being reacquainted with favourite cosy clothes and scarves.
*Curling up with some good books.
*Lighting a beautiful fragranced candle.
*Nourishing the soul with some new winter warming recipes.
*Baking and sharing.
*Going for crisp autumn walks.
*Subscribing to uplifting newsletters or podcasts.
*Creating a beautiful journal, whether it’s with words, quotes or pictures, something that you can feel into and look back on.
*Making an end of year vision board for the “ber” months, October, November and December.
*Attending a yoga/meditation class on-line or in person.
Always try to make time to sit peacefully with some healing music and a candle. Hands on tummy and heart (our intuition centres) and just be, even if that is only for 5 minutes. These two areas are our care takers, so are good to listen to.
When we relax into how we can make things enjoyable, we can perhaps better handle some of the harsher elements of the Autumn and Winter months to come.
Until next time, stay well and warm.
