It’s Spring !
The sun is out the sky is blue. What an incredible difference a week makes. On Monday we had our big national announcement about the roadmap out of lockdown. Starting with the first of the measures on Monday 8th March when the schools go back and we adults are allowed to meet one other, outside for a socially distanced walk/chat. Like most households we have the whole list guiding us stage by stage until the end of June (currently).
Although, I am quite used to my new reclusive lifestyle, it does feel as if there has been a massive lift of weight, even though I have been writing about the good things, it has still been a rollercoaster of emotions. Now it is perhaps time to pause and reflect. To take the next steps slowly, but surely.
It is also so lovely that Mother nature is doing her bit too. My heart smiles at the return of the beautiful blue skies. It is good to know that soon things will start to open and we can start functioning properly once again. However, as we live on a holiday island, a lot of our favourite venues do batten down their hatches on a regular basis between the months of November to March. So to a degree we are very much used to the hibernation season. This is why I think the island has so many incredibly talented creatives here. This is also why I think we may have coped a little better in the current circumstances.
I do love Spring, it represents the chance for a new beginning, now more than ever it is a time to contemplate a brand new lifestyle. We have all been presented with a new future, a very different future. The rest of 2021 will now be such a sacred time to make the very most of every moment.

I so look forward to catching up with friends in real life and re-visiting our beautiful new island, which it will be, as many venues will have had major refits to accommodate our new lifestyle. Island living for us consists of being able to revisit some of our favourite green spaces, coastal places and alfresco cafes and eateries.
Spring always offers such a new rejuvenating vibe. It encourages me to look at everything with new eyes. It is the opportunity to refresh, a time to declutter and to remove our own personal winter shells, big padded jackets and bobble hats. Replacing them with a more vibrant carefree image that the warmer weather offers. It’s a time to have the doors open (the purrs absolutely love this one), a time to turn the garden into extra living space for reading and alfresco dining. As a vegetarian the summer is my favourite season, I absolutely adore salads, especially the whole array that we have designed over the years. (Watch this space).
I hope to continue to listen to the wellbeing podcasts, keeping my own personal journals and actually getting out with my camera and capturing everything.
This weekend is also a Full Moon, the Snow Moon and the end of my 6 minute Lunar morning journalling workshop which I have already decided to continue. There really is something very special about giving myself just 6 minutes to write each morning. It is so therapeutic, as is blogging. I look forward to the change of tone and colour of my blogs as we edge cautiously back into 2021.
I hope you enjoyed reading.
Until next time.
Stay safe. Stay well.
